MEET TY’RASHA

"I have always loved

everything about it."

Hi, my name is Ty'Rasha! I'm a licensed hairstylist based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Although I didn't always know I'd pursue a career in the beauty industry, my passion for it has been a lifelong love affair. I even have Polaroids from middle school showing my "before" look with my hair all over the place and an "after" shot where I've styled my hair and done my makeup.

"I loved social environments, art, music, fashion, and all things beauty."

When I graduated from high school, I moved to Hammond, LA to attend Southeastern Louisiana University. There I studied criminal justice with hopes of becoming an attorney, but it didn’t take me long to have a come to Jesus. I loved social environments, art, music, fashion and all things beauty.  So, I moved back home and soon started working as a receptionist at a well known Aveda salon. When I wasn’t checking clients in and out or booking appointments, I was watching the stylists work. I was so interested in the “behind the chair” side of things that my manager at the time called a local cosmetology school and signed me up for a tour. That call was the turning point in my journey. I enrolled at Vanguard Paul Mitchell less than a month after and in 2012 was an official graduate and licensed cosmetologist.

“Because this is my passion, it's essential for me to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and knowledge”

In this constantly evolving industry, I am dedicated to continually enhancing my knowledge and training to provide my clients with high-quality results efficiently. I deeply value the art and creativity of hairstyling and have learned extensively from experienced professionals. I’ve attended Vidal Sassoon’s cutting and coloring course in Santa Monica, top colorist Rachel Redd’s class in Atlanta, and assisted Tamika Gibson (thehairdiagram) in her wig certification classes in Dallas and Baton Rouge. Additionally, I have participated in numerous hair shows, events, and business courses. These opportunities have significantly contributed to my growth as a stylist and have refined my techniques, allowing me to uphold the highest quality standards for my clients.
